Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage bulk
  • 3 cups Bisquick Original Pancake & Baking Mix
  • 1 block (16 oz) sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Equipment

  • 2 13x18-inch rimmed baking sheet

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line two 13x18-inch rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, use your hands to combine the sausage, Bisquick, and cheddar until evenly mixed and the mixture holds together.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and arrange them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, switching the sheets between racks and rotating them halfway through, until the sausage balls are golden and reach 160°F in the center.
  6. Let the sausage balls rest on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For evenly sized sausage balls, roll the mixture into consistent 1-inch portions. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months; thaw in the refrigerator and reheat before serving. Turkey sausage can be used as a leaner swap.
